Back-To-School Buying, And Emergency Tech For Your Car

powerit

CEA joins Into Tomorrow to discuss the most popular Back-To-School tech this year, and its buyers:

It’s back-to-school time, and the Consumer Electronics Association has new research on the latest tech shopping trends. Lexie de los Santos explains who seems to be spending the most on tech this season, and what they most want to buy – in this week’s “CEA Update.”

CEA’s 2015 Back-to-School study reports that Millennials…adults 18 through 34 years old…are the top buyers of school gear. More than 58% of them say they’ll purchase consumer electronics devices or accessories.

Their top planned purchases include calculators…USB drives…headphones…protective cases…and laptop computers.

Millennials are also more likely than older adults…to research back-to-school items online…and 51% of them will likely purchase those items online as well.

But they’re also more likely to put off their “shopping homework”…usually doing their back-to-school online shopping research one to four weeks before school starts.
