Jonathan in Atlanta, Georgia listens on AM 920 “The Answer” and asked: “I was wondering what would be the best Android phone to buy. I have a Vortex and it keeps cutting off.”
Jonathan, I don’t think we had even heard of the brand Vortex before, and we’ve seen plenty of obscure brands at trade shows over the years.
The best Android phone is a very subjective question and there really isn’t a right answer, price counts just about as much as features, and there’s no size that is better than another size. The same goes for brands, you may be really excited about the next One Plus or to you may be a Motorola fan.
Generally speaking, the Google-branded Pixel phones are good and you can’t beat the direct updates, so they’re always worth keeping in mind. Samsung’s non-folding, non-exploding phones are good, but every now and then you do get the exploding model, or the folding screen fiasco thrown into the mix.
Expensive phones tend to be better than cheap phones, that doesn’t mean that you need a $1000+ phone, but you probably want to avoid the cheapest models out there if you’re looking for something that will perform better than the Vortex.
