Lenovo Introduces A Foldable PC: The ThinkPad X1 Fold

© by Lenovo

Lenovo’s ThinkPad X1 Fold is the first PC with a folding OLED display. It is all display, a 13.3″ screen with no physical keyboard.

The foldable all-screen laptop will offer a 5G connectivity option, and can be used in a fully flat tablet mode and in landscape or portrait modes.

For those that would still want a physical keyboard and maybe a mouse (there is no trackpad either), the X1 Fold comes with USB-C ports, and as a full Windows machine it also supports USB peripherals.

After the recent issues with Samsung foldable phones, Lenovo says that the foldable screen has been tested to ensure it will survive many fold and unfold cycles.

The first version of the X1 Fold is expected to arrive in mid-2020 for around $2500 and there is a second version with Windows 10X already announced for some time after that.
