Joe in Berkeley, Michigan asked: “I have a iPhone 11 Pro and I’m having issues of losing my calendar from the last year. So all my stuff from 23 is has been deleted. 24 still there. Hopefully you can help me retrieve it, or maybe change the setting to stop it from happening in the future. Thanks.”
Joe, Apples Calendar app will only show you events a year in the past and a year into the future.
Beyond that, the search will not find the events.
Theres no setting to extend those dates, unfortunately its a design decision likely made to make the search less confusing. The only option available to you is to use a different calendar app.
Calendar 366 is an example of an app that will let you go back over a year, Fantastical can do it as well.
If your calendar is provided by a large cloud services provider like Microsoft or Google their calendar apps or web platforms may be able to do it as well.

William said: “I just wanted to say that in this political climate lately, it’s important to know what youre seeing online. So, like, when you’re on Facebook and Instagram, stuff like that.
Well, Facebook especially, on Facebook, people can post anything they want, right? They can garner a lot of likes and shares and comments that are positive and in support of that post. If that post says something like breast cancer awareness or Alzheimer’s treatment or just something heartwarming, maybe a puppy or kitten video or a picture, once it garners a lot of attention through hashtags and everything else, and gets a bunch of likes and comments and people sharing it.
The author of that post can go back and this is in Facebook especially, can go back and edit that post to say anything they want it to say, and even take a picture or video down that they originally had and put a totally different one up. And then the likes and the comments and the shares will stay the same. And that’s manipulation. Just be aware of a lot of posts that you see on Facebook. They may have been manipulated or mined for likes, before they were altered to say what they’re trying to say after the fact. Just want to let you guys know that that’s a real thing. Facebook hasnt fixed that yet.
