Dave and Chris discuss a security flaw in Ecovacs products, the lack of evidence linking mobile phone use to brain cancer, new Apple products, and more.
Up next, with an homage to the late Mark Lautenschlager that worked with us and did “Into Gamming” here on “Into Tomorrow” for many years … Bryan Young is diving into one of the most hyped releases in the galaxy — “Star Wars Outlaws”. Is it really the open-world game we’ve all been waiting for? Let’s hear his take. Bryan, what’s the word?
Colleen in Naples, Florida clicked that AskDave mic button at IntoTomorrow.com and asked: “I have an iPhone 13 Pro Max for my personal use, and an iPhone 8 for my business use. They’re on two separate accounts, two separate carriers as well as different Apple IDs. However every time they are next to each other, they start shaking, trying to sync and I cannot figure out how to make that stop and it’s driving me crazy. Can you please help?”
Colleen, what youre describing is probably iOSs AirDrop proximity feature.
The idea is that rather than selecting a person from a list, you can share files, photos, videos, or contacts by bringing the phones together.
Fortunately, the feature is optional and you should be able to disable it.
To do that, go to your Settings app, from there go to General, then AirDrop.
When you get there youll have two options, you can either totally disable AirDrop if you dont use it, or you can leave it on and disable a setting youll find under start sharing by bringing devices together
That should keep them from vibrating when theyre close to each other and ready to pair to share files.
