Back to School Help

Although it seems as if Summer just began, it’s time for students to head back to school!

First thing you’ll want to check is your school’s website for important information on any health and safety requirements that will be in place as classes get back in session. You can also check with your school district to see any other helpful information you may need to know.

Checking with the CDC will give you up to date information on many of the vaccines needed and recommended for students.

Many other helpful things are available to check out online before you even enter the school buildings like the academic calendar and breakfast and lunch menus. There are also options to prepay for your meals and even set up auto pay to refill your account balance when it gets low.

From the site you can also set up many different types of important alerts.

As the students and parents adjust schedules and get back in the swing of the school year, one of their most used tech items will be the alarm clock and whether you’re low tech or high tech you probably need one. The alarms on smartphones are pretty good these days and since you usually always have your phone with you, you won’t have to worry about not having your alarm.

Some parents prefer cell phones not be in the rooms when their kids go to sleep in which case there are plenty of alarm clock options available from your favorite retailer.

Electronics such as phones and game systems are recommended to shut off at least 30 minutes before bed to ensure a good sleep.

Be sure to take full advantage of the tech offered in digital calendars and organizers since that is a great way for families to keep track of each others’ busy school year schedules. There are several options available that range from simple free accounts to more premium features that you can pay for if needed.

Students in every grade have become used to doing their assignments and turning them in on their personal laptops but a quick overview of how to use the computer and it’s tools is a good thing to do especially with younger students. And make sure to get a good case for transporting the device.

Mobile Apps are available for most school districts and that is a great tool for parents and students to download and keep track of all the important information they need at anytime.

Be sure to also download our FREE Into Tomorrow App where we educate you on the latest and greatest in the tech world as well as rewarding you for your participation!

Wishing all of our friends a happy and safe back to school!
