Give Blood, Save a Life …

January is National Blood Donor Month and with the current Pandemic, there has never been a better time to get out there and help!

Due to the Coronavirus, increased seasonal illnesses during the winter months and bad weather conditions, donations of blood and platelets have declined and the demand has greatly increased.

There are many resources online that will give you information on ways you can volunteer as well as donate and you can find locations of donation drives in your area.

Checking with major blood donor agencies like One Blood will give you plenty of additional information including ways to make donations, testimonials from recipients and donors, ways to host a blood drive and many frequently asked questions.

Local police and fire departments have been providing blood drives that will also allow you to be tested for Covid antibodies and if you are positive you will then be able to donate much needed life saving plasma right there.

There are even a few apps you can download including from the American Red Cross where you can schedule and manage appointments, manage your past donations, health vitals and achievements and even track your blood’s journey right down to when it reaches its recipient.

And while you’re tracking, be sure to download our FREE Into Tomorrow App and track the latest in consumer tech.

We will also reward you for your donation of some tech talk or question with some cool tech prize!

Wishing all of our listeners good health and acknowledging those who are selflessly giving and saving lives!
