When paramedics or other first responders arrive on the scene of a medical emergency, they must make life or death decisions in a hurry, often with little information. New mixed reality glasses from ThirdEye can give them the edge they need to save lives. The connected devices can show essential information on a hands-free display, such as critical patient records and other data. The glasses include noise-cancelling microphones, speakers, and three cameras so the wearer can be put in direct communication with physicians and other healthcare professionals to consult on the situation and get real-time instructions. A specialist anywhere in the world can see and hear what’s happening on the scene. The glasses can even include thermal sensors to provide live thermal imaging of the patient. All of this works within a platform that is secure and HIPAA compliant. New technology like this can give first responders the information and support that they need to save lives.
