Dennis from Tupelo, Mississippi listens to Supertalk WWMR 102.9FM asked: “I got a new Samsung S4 phone. I have two new Plantronics bluetooth devices. I can’t pair them with the new phone. When I got to the bluetooth devices they are not discoverable; I need help!”
Unfortunately not all Plantronics headsets are the same. The phone side of things is easy, just turn on bluetooth and get ready to look for your headset, but the headset may have to be put into a discoverable mode.
For some models, that just means you have to hold down the answer button for 5 or 10 seconds, but some models have more complex instructions.
The same goes for pairing codes, most just have simple codes like 0000 or 1234, but some have real codes.
Since we don’t know your particular headset model, go to this site and have a look around, if your model is there, setting it to discoverable should be very easy.

Consumer Reports Feature With Donna Tapellini

The “Into Tomorrow” team discussed the latest apps that they have been playing with recently.
• Walterio recommends: Flow Free, FREE
- “Walterio’s fav app this week is an app that he says is very addictive and is free to play with over 400 levels. On his “more Games” system (android system) there is a game called “Flow Free”(also available for ipods). Flow free is a simple yet addicting puzzle game. The main objective is to pair all colored dots with a pipe by covering the entire board to solve each puzzle. But remember to watch out because if you overlap a pipe, the other pipe will break. Again, it’s FREE on Android & iOS.”

- “My app this week is an app that I have been using all too much these days. Find My iPhone is an official Apple app designed for those, like me, who tend to lose things. I have this app installed on all the iPhones and iPads in my house. When you install the app, you tie it to your iTunes account. If you were to, say, misplace your phone, it will help you find it. When you login from any device with the app installed, or from the website on a computer, you select the phone you are looking for and it will bring up a map and show you where the phone or tablet is located. Of course, it has to be connected to the Internet to do that. If it’s not connected because maybe your battery died, it will at least show you the last place it was. You can hit a button to play a sound on the device to help you locate it in a room. You can put it into “lost mode” which will display a custom message on the screen so that you can tell anyone who finds it that it is lost and give them your contact info so that maybe, if they’re honest people, they can return it to you. That mode will also lock the device with a pass code so that it can’t be used by someone who finds it. Or, it will let you remotely wipe all the data on the device in the event you find that person who isn’t so honest and you are pretty certain that the phone won’t be returned to you. Sean from Fairbanks, Alaska listens to News Radio KFBX 970AM asked: “I went to my Google Play store to get your app. However I can’t find it when I search for it. So, how can I get it on on my S3. Also, my provider won’t send me a new battery. How can I get another battery?”
You should be able to find the app by just searching for Into Tomorrow on the Google Play store, but we can make it easier for you, clicking here should take you straight to it.
Finding extra batteries for the S3 shouldn’t be too hard, you can find official Samsung brand batteries at Samsung.com, and on the usual sites, for example, Amazon has spare batteries that say Samsung, but you judge for yourself, listed for as little as $4, eBay has them too and they’re also very cheap.
Samsung sells a very cool looking, foldable spare battery charger, it looks like a phone dock that lets you stand the phone upright while it charges the spare battery on the back.
We should give you a heads up on something though, Samsung does advertise it as a “spare battery charger”, so we can’t say they’re lying, but be aware that that is ONLY a spare battery charger, it will not charge the actual phone, it’ll charge the spare battery and work as a phone stand, but it is not a phone charger.

Chris from Baton Rouge, Louisiana listens to Talk WBRP 107.3FM called in with the following advice: “The Nook from Barnes n Noble doesn’t have a camera; is there anyway to connect a camera to the Nook?”
Sorry, there is no way to connect a camera to the Nook.
The Nook does come with a USB port, but it’s not enabled for that kind of data, so you’d have to install some hacked firmware to be able to use the port at all, and even then you’d have a hard time finding a camera to work with it.
Then there’s the other obvious problem, it’s not supposed to work with a camera, so even if you manage to connect one to it, you won’t find a lot of software that expects the camera to be there at all, so you won’t really be able to get a lot of use out of it anyway.
You’re best bet here is to get a tablet with a built in camera that can take advantage of it through apps that know it should be there.
