Cliff in Chattanooga, Tennessee listens via the App asked us: “What contacts program/app do you recommend that works with most emails, outlook and social media. Thanks for the advice. Right now I’m using “contacts+” it seems to work well except I don’t see how to get it on my laptop as well.”
Cliff, This is actually a pretty tough question, there aren’t many products that meet your requirements.
The best mix we have been able to find would be to continue using Contacts+ on your phone, and to use Apowersoft’s Android Manager on your computer.
Android Manager, allows you to sync contacts with Outlook and manage your phone’s contacts from your computer.
Between both of those, you should be able to get what you want, but unfortunately, unless you can do it through an email provider (and all of the major free ones will let you sync contacts), you won’t find a much easier way to keep everything synced.

Charlotte asked us: “I have a question regarding my galaxy note 3 cell phone-unknowingly the back fell off in the dark-it still works (I have in a leather covered case but acts a bit possessed when I am texting-do you know where and how I can get a new back without having to get a new phone?”
Charlotte, You can buy a new back cover directly from Samsung.com, it will cost you around $10.
If that’s too much for you, you can go to Amazon and buy from seller “Samsung” and pay $2.99 instead.
As far as we can tell, it seems to be the real deal, and most reviewers seem to think it’s a five star product so, for $3, it may be worth a try, but then again $10 is not that much more and that’s definitely coming from the manufacturer.

Camcorders with built-in VHS or Beta cassettes were bulky. The industry tried to size down with smaller cassettes. VHS-C was a reduced VHS format, in 1982 8mm-Video was announced. In 1989 at the International Funkausstellung, IFA for insiders, Sony introduced Video-8 High band. Years later, With the introduction of the solid state technology at IFA 2001, (the SD card by most manufacturers and the Memory Stick by Sony one year later) camcorder could finally be drastically reduced in size as the cards were tiny and there was no drive needed. Cassette based camcorders started to disappear from the market.
Hunt in Columbia, Tennessee listening on WTN 99.7 FM – calling via the App asked: “What is the difference in sound quality between a sound bar, located under the TV, and the wireless surround sound systems I’ve seen on the market. Prices are similar, but the sound bar is much more convenient. Wondering what are the advantages/disadvantages of both.”
Hunt, Both soundbar and wireless surround sound systems are great sound devices but both have their pros and cons. Just as you mentioned, the sound bar is more convenient in terms of installation because it only requires a few wires, and a single sound system compared to a surround sound system that has multiples.
The main two disadvantages are that the location of the sound bar can affect the sound quality and also it doesn’t produce complete surround sound for large environments.
With a surround sound system, you get a complete full range of sound and have the control of where the sounds systems are placed throughout the room. Honestly, the appearance of certain surround sound systems give a theater-like appearance which can completely transform the feel of the room. The downfall with the system is that to ensure the best quality surround system, you would need a wired connection between the television and the speakers. Also, the installation isn’t as easy as the soundbar.

Joan in Santamaria, California asked: “I’m trying to figure out how to use my ACER model zeiv4 iconia w3-810 using just the battery. I was part of a settlement and received a refurbished model but I have no instruction guide in how to use the unit without having it plugged into an AC adapter.”
Joan, You probably have a bad unit. You really shouldn’t need to do anything at all to get the tablet to run on battery, just unplug it and go.
If it’s turning off when you unplug it, there’s probably something wrong with it and you should probably be able to get a replacement.
Does the battery icon flash when the tablet is plugged in? That’s their code to let you know that something’s wrong with the battery.
If it is, check for firmware upgrades, that may be the cause of the trouble, and if there are none, or if that doesn’t help, you definitely want to take it in and see if they’ll exchange it for a working one.
There are no instructions because there’s not much to say, all you should really need to do is pull the plug and keep using it.
