5 Tech Gadgets For Everyday Consumers in 2017

Top tech to expect throughout the year

There’s always something to look forward to in the world of technology. Sometimes, it’s an upgrade to a mobile phone, new features in your favorite gadget or a device that makes it more user-friendly or just more fun, or a major price cut in that one tech accessory you’ve been jonesing for.

iPhone 8

While many are still trying to get their hands on the iPhone 7 Plus or even just the iPhone 7, the iPhone 8 is almost on the shelves. In addition to augmented reality features similar to Pokemon Go, it’s reported that iPhone’s first new update for 2017 will have an all glass exterior and no home button. Images will also be clearer thanks to the organic LED display to be incorporated. Those are all the rumors we’ve heard so far, but with 2017 being iPhone’s 10th birthday, you can expect something big.

More Affordable Virtual Reality Headsets

Virtual reality headsets that cost 50% less. Oculus Rift’s cheapest headsets cost around $600. Windows 10’s free update will allow users to hook up a virtual reality headset, and a few companies, like Dell, Lenovo and Asus are preparing the headsets you will need. The word is, they’ll only cost about $300.

Samsung Galaxy S8

This new addition is a way for Samsung to regain some of its pride after the flop that was the Galaxy Note 7. The Samsung Galaxy S8 is expected to come with its own digital assistant named Viv much like Siri and created by the same manufacturers.

Google Watches and Phones

Google did well with its Pixel phone, which was the first phone from Google and has the Google Assistant built in. What’s really cool is that it can carry out a two-way conversation meaning you can converse with it. While we may even get an update of the Pixel in 2017, what we will definitely get is a Google smartwatch not to be confused with the company’s Android Wear watches. Many can’t wait to see how much computer tech Google can cram into a circular wristwatch.

New Features in Portable Vaporizers

2017 will see vaporizers that are safer and have a longer battery life making them more portable than ever. Originally for many, nicotine was a common vaping ingredient, but it was still safer than smoking because smoke isn’t inhaled into the lungs. Another reason why vaping is healthier is because you can slowly wean yourself off of nicotine by using an eliquid that contains less or no nicotine.

It’s easy to get away from nicotine altogether with the products you can use in vape pens, such as essential oils, herbs and e-liquids with fruit flavors and other flavors none of which contain nicotine, which is the addictive ingredient in tobacco. Some of the herbs you can get for your vape pen are Lavender, Lemon Balm, St. John’s Wort and Chamomile. There are also vape pens that last more than 24 hours, so you never have to go without your trusty vaporizer, and you can rely on this healthier alternative until you have kicked the habit.

If you want a portable vaporizer in 2017 that closely mimics smoking, the best would be a single vape device that allows you to inhale from mouth to lungs as you would with a cigarette. Some are specifically designed for those who have just quit smoking. There are also portable vaporizers that support all three types of inhales.

Now that 2017 is here, keep your eyes peeled for new gadgets or upgrades, such as a foldable Samsung phone, a portable Nintendo system that can connect to a TV, new screen sizes for iPads and maybe even a new iMac with a USB-C port.
