Greg asked: “I have one main e-mail address I use and I have been getting these “auto-response” e-mails. Is there any way I can stop this. I go through Yahoo with AT&T. I’m getting like 10-20 a day and it’s very frustrating.”
What do you mean by “auto respond”? If you’re talking about any random spam message, you can report it, and if it’s newsletters you signed up for, you can unsubscribe, but auto responses are just messages set up by people to let you know they won’t be able to get to yours.
People set them up to alert others when they go on vacation or when an email address is not monitored, but they usually serve a purpose and they are always responses. Which lead us to wonder… why are you getting so many a day?
If you happen to be one of those people that automatically forwards every chain email to everyone on their address book, stopping that will probably stop the auto responses.
It will also win you some friends. If it is newsletters you signed up for unroll.me will find all of the emails you are subscribed to and you can unsubscribe with one click.
