CEA Updates Us On Some Good News For Drone Pilots

Good news for tech innovation – drones are still soaring in California! The Governor recently vetoed a bill that would have limited consumer and commercial use of drones in the state.  Lexie de los Santos with the Consumer Electronics Association explains – in this week’s “CEA Update.”

September 9th marked a big win for innovation! California Governor Jerry Brown vetoed Senate Bill 142. Privacy issues should be addressed, but this legislation was the wrong approach and would have stifled tech innovation and job creation.

CEA projects that drone sales will reach 700,000 drones this year. And other research expects the drones industry to add 18,000 jobs in California, and that’s just over the next decade!

Drones have the possibility to transform how we do business and CEA applauds Governor Brown for recognizing the value of welcoming innovation and the life-changing solutions that drones can provide.

You can thank Governor Brown for making innovation a priority and allowing the drone industry to continue to flourish in California by visiting innovationmovement.com/drones.
