Misleading AT&T Data Plans

Staff Tech Rage

Chris had a “not-so-pleasant” experience with AT&T recently that he shared on the air:

Word of warning for AT&T customers and those thinking of going to them. Their advertising is misleading. Their data plans may look like a good deal, but once you sign up, you quickly realize that on top of paying for that data plan, you have to pay an additional monthly fee per device ($10 per tablet and up to $40 per phone) in order to be on that plan. Certain AT&T Stores (The one down the street from me) employ snakes who trick you into getting a “$1” tablet that “won’t cost you anything else”. Funny that I see charges for it on my bill. Shame on you, AT&T. We will be moving all our lines from them as soon as we can!

Anyone else have any “Tech Horror Stories” to share with us? We may read your responses on the air and send you a prize! Even better … CALL us and let us HEAR your Tech Rage anytime 24/7 at 1-800-899-INTO (4686) or use the AUDIO option on our free “Into Tomorrow” Apps!
