Parrot’s New Drone At CES Will Fly At 50 MPH, Keep You From Looking Foolish

Parrot's latest drone, the Disco is not just another quadcopter. It's plane shaped, very fast, and it will protect your reputation.

Disco

We promise not to tell your friends…

The Disco will take off, land, and fly on it’s own (go ahead, brag about how good a pilot you are when you’re behind the controls, we’re sure Parrot doesn’t mind).

It can circle a fixed point for 45 minutes at 50mph (for when you feel like really creeping your neighbors out), and it can follow waypoints and come back home using it’s built in GPS.

Cameras and virtual reality

The drone comes with an HD camera capable of video and 14MP stills (a drone with a camera! what will these crazy kids come up with next?), and it is capable of pairing with a VR headset so you can soar through the sky at 50 mph, in a circle while totally not spying on people.

The Disco should be available this year, though there’s no firm release date.
