Tech in the Job Search

With many celebrating graduations recently, in addition to anyone else looking, it’s a great time to use your tech for help in finding that great new job …

Since most every grad is attached to an electronic device you can save time and organize the perfect plan to find the perfect job using it.

A computer is the best device to work from however you can use a tablet or smartphone as well.

First thing you’ll need is a resume and there are plenty of online sites and apps that can help with templates for you to use and the ability to search and apply for different jobs. Many of these helpful tools allow you to look for jobs by location as well as giving you reviews on companies you’re interested in.

Once you have your resume you’ll need an idea of when you will be available for work as well as how far you are willing to travel and for what type of work.

If you are unsure of what type of work you’d like to look for, try doing an online search for things that interest you and see what jobs are required that you may be qualified for.

You can also use online tools like maps to search how far away from important things like home and school or childcare that you want to work from.

Take advantage of the many free job search apps available and use the tools and features they give including the ability to upload your resume so you can instantly apply for jobs you see that fit your search! Many employers look through these apps to search for the perfect employee before even making contact.

And speaking of what employers look through, remember that everything you put out online and on social media (even what you think is private) can be found and seen by potential employers and clients so always be aware of how you present yourself online.

Download our FREE Into Tomorrow App where your participation will get you positive online presence as we announce your winning prizes from our Big Summer Giveaways!

Best of luck on your job hunt and stay tuned!
