Veterans Day via Tech …

For just over 100 years we have been setting aside a special day to honor and celebrate the courageous men and women who have served our Country.

This Veteran’s Day, whether you are a Vet or not, you can use tech to learn about, show your support and check out some cool appreciation for those who’ve served.

One of the fun things you can find more about online is how to  “Take a Veteran to school” which is an initiative encouraging schools to have veterans visit and connect with students as they hear their stories of service and learn more about Veterans Day.

Some areas, like places in Florida, have programs where you can take a Veteran fishing as well.

Searching your community’s social media channels and online sites can assist in giving you information on special events in your area that are honoring Veterans.

And those social media channels are great resources to find out about any local events that may or may not be happening as Covid has changed a lot of plans.

Some plans that haven’t changed however are special discounts and freebies for Veterans at many retail stores and restaurants. You can find those listed online as well.

Discounts for travel, recreation and other local gift giving businesses are available as well.

Some of our nation’s Veterans are in great need of food, housing, mental health assistance and other help that you can provide. You can schedule a pick up for items to donate or go to one of many online sites to donate financially.

One great organization that assists Veterans and their families is The Gary Sinise Foundation. You can head online to help give to that community of Veterans which includes providing smarthomes for our nations wounded!

There are also many places where you can say thank you to our Veterans right from your computer or favorite mobile device.

While you’re on that mobile device be sure to download our Free Into Tomorrow App where you can submit your tech questions 24/7 from anywhere in the world! Including from most military bases as we continue to support our US Troops!
