Weather Alerts via Tech …

Crazy acts of Mother Nature can be seen all over and with the help of your favorite tech, you can be ready.

We are lucky to have so many sources for weather warnings these days and before you head out to work or play be sure you check what’s in store for you.

The Weather Channel is a great place to check for local weather conditions and alerts in any part of the Nation. You can also sign up to receive alerts from them by email and your mobile phone so you are always ready.

Other sites you can check that also give severe weather alerts include Accuweather  and Weather underground. These sites also give you the option to view area maps and radar in addition to lots more.

The National Weather Service offers a site with information and alerts as well.

It’s always a good idea to have a kit or area made up with all the emergency supplies you would need for disasters prone to your neighborhood. Checking online with places like the National Hurricane center and your local emergency responders can provide you with checklists to make sure you get everything you need. You can even purchase ready-made kits like the uncrushable one from Lifesecure.

And while you’re checking don’t forget your pets who have lists available from the ASPCA and more.
