Tech News and Commentary
Dave and the team discuss Google Assistant’s Family Bell, tech buying trend, a nuclear reactor for the Moon, and more.
Sean in Gilmer, Texas listens on KTBB and asked: “My question is if there is a Bluetooth headset or a phone that can dial using voice only, not touching, not single-touch, just voice only. I’m searching and can’t find that. It’s one of the requirements for my job. If you could help, that’d be great.”
Sean, any earbud or headset that say something like Alexa enabled, Google Assistant enabled, or Siri enabled will do that.
Just ask your assistant to make the call, no touching required.
Depending on your choice of phone, different options may be better for you, for example, any Apple or Beats headset is pretty much guaranteed to work well with any Apple phone, since they own the brands.
The same goes for Pixel products and Google.
If you want a generic solution any Alexa enabled headset should work just fine, and making calls is about the most basic thing they can do.
For example, you can take a look at the Jabra Elite 85h, the Bose 700s or QC 35IIs, or Sonys WH-1000XM4. Theyll all let you make touchless requests, including the ability to make a call.
