Larry in Newbern, Tennessee listening online asked: “I’m a truck driver and I wanted to get one of the 7-inch GPS units. A lot of them say they have electronic logging and truck routes. I was wondering if there were any that had specifically hazmat routing, since I drive a tanker.”
There are several GPS units that include HazMat routing, they’re all obviously geared towards professional drivers, so none of them are particularly cheap.
You can look at the Cobra 7-inch GPS Navigator for Truck Drivers 7750 Platinum. The unit features 10 levels of HazMat routing, and takes into account the truck’s size and weight when suggesting routes. It’s not cheap though, you’ll be paying around $400 for it.
The Garmin Nuvi 465T will also offer routes taking HazMat restrictions and truck dimensions into account. This one will cost you considerably less. You can find it for closer to $200.
The Magellan RoadMate Commercial 9270T-LM will get you back to around the $400 mark, but it will also include dimension-based routing and HazMat routing, so it may also be an option for you. A feature you may find useful on this model is the lifetime free traffic alerts.

Ray in Niagara Falls, New York listens via the app and asked: “I’ve been trying to setup the iCloud on my PC runing XP Service Pack 3. I’m using an iPhone 4. It says it will work on a PC, but I can’t get the program to load. I was wondering if XP is capable of running the iCloud.”
Windows XP is not supported by iCloud, you need at least Windows Vista. Considering XP has been on the market since 2001, that’s not a big surprise.
We’ve heard of ways to trick the installer into thinking that it should accept Windows XP as the minimum version of Windows to install on, but we can’t say if all of iCloud works when you do that. And, as updates are released, it is likely that more and more new Windows components will be required and that even with the installer hack iCloud will not perform well under XP.
You’d probably be better off waiting until you upgrade your operating system to run iCloud fully, for now you can still set up your email account like you would any other account, though.

Brenda, Charleston, SC listening via WQSC 1340AM asked: “Hello, I recently started getting into all the hype of upgrading from a television that looks like a refrigerator to a thinner model. My question is, which type of TV is better, an LCD or a plasma?”
It all depends on what you are looking for in particular. An LCD TV has some benefits that the Plasma does not while the Plasma has some benefits over the LCD.
Let us start with the Plasma TV. It beats out the LCD by having higher levels of brightness and contrast. It also has a better off-angle viewing than the LCD TV
On the other hand, the LCD TV is lighter in weight than the Plasma. And, it’s not affected by high altitudes like the Plasma is.
In general, the choice depends what you want to get from your television set. If you live in a region where the altitude is higher than 6,500 feet above sea level, your best choice is the LCD TV. Another important factor is your budget. You usually can score a better bargain with LCD TVs.

Jessica in Raleigh, North Carolina listening on WPTF 680 AM asked: “If I have misplaced or cannot remember my password for my iPod Touch, how can I reset it to get into my iPod?”
Your only option is going to be to plug it into your computer, opening iTunes and clicking on the button that says restore. That will wipe all the information from your iPod and restore it to factory settings. But, if you’ve recently synced it, then that shouldn’t cause too much damage. Your computer can rebuild everything from the last sync and the iPod should look pretty much the same by the time you’re done.
If you haven’t recently synced your iPod, then you’re in for a little bit more trouble. Restoring it will still unlock it, and you will be able to use it, but it will delete all your information and you will have to manually set everything back from scratch.
Even if you haven’t synced it recently though, a wiped iPod is better than a permanently locked iPod!
