Dean in Camas, Washington: I won’t leave the ground for an international flight without my Bose QuietComfort Noise-Cancelling Headphones. They cost about $250 when I got them about 5 years ago and they work extremely well. My great, new set of Noizy Stereo Bluetooth Earbuds cost me NOTHING, since they were an awesome prize from the great group at Into Tomorrow. — It was fun to participate on the show and great to be thanked with such a great gift! — Oh… and NO WAY would I ever pay $5,500 on headphones!

Sal in Miami: Ditto with Dean. I also have the Bose earbuds – $300.00. Oh yeah, $5,500, no.

Dorothea from Detroit: I try to use any in ear/over ear audio as sparingly as possible. So, NO way would I spend that much.

Stuart from somewhere: Unless they placed the album on the turntable and played it for me, NO I have a few pairs of headphones, ranging from $20 up to a couple of hundred, plus have my still working first pair for Radio, the Koss Pro4 AA. Even on the cheaper earbuds, I buy them with a frequency response of 5-20,000 hz, and believe it or not, you hear quite the range. I think they’ve learned to build a better mouse trap for a lesser price.

Rob from who-knows-where: I use $5.00 ear buds because whether $5.00 or $5000 they all have something in common. China.

Trevor in Fairbanks, Alaska: Ummmmmm … NO!!!!!!!!!

Patrick in Dania Beach, Florida: Only if I was flying a B-17 over Dunkirk.

Tom from … no idea: $5500 for headphones?! No! I could spend that on amtrak vacation. No I have the Aftershokz bone conduction headphones I paid over $100 for.

CEA Update with Samantha Nevels

CarTech Demo Days are coming back this weekend, giving you the chance to try out the latest products firsthand. The Consumer Electronics Association’s Samantha Nevels explains how you can participate, in this week’s CEA Update.

Arthur in Madison, Wisconsin listening via Tune In Radio and calling via the App asked us: “I would like to ask you about Windows 7. I’d like to create a new folder on my harddrive, but theres a missing a “New Folder Option” when i right click. Can I bring back the New Folder Option?”

Arthur, This problem is fixable, but it’s gonna take a little work. Unfortunately, the cause is typically a corrupt registry key, and fixing it means dealing with long strings of unintelligible text and numbers.

Microsoft’s website has a solution here that may help you resolve your problem in an easier way.
