Terry in Carthage, Missouri listens to the podcast and asked: “I’ve got a Samsung Tab S2 that I have forgotten the password on it. Wondering if there’s sope way I can get into that thing and reset the password because I can’t use it at all the way it is. “
Terry, the good news is that you can regain access to your Samsung S2, the bad news is that you may not like how…
Things have changed over the generations, but around the time of the S2 the way to get access to a device that you don’t have a password for was to just wipe it and start fresh.
To set your S2 to factory settings you will need to hold down volume up, home, and power until the Samsung logo appears, then release them and get ready to just select that you want to restore it to factory settings from the reset menu that will show up on screen.
That’s all there is to it, once the process is done you’ll be able to set it up again with a new password, but it will basically be a brand new tablet and you will have to start from scratch and set it back to however you had it.
Just make sure that when you set it back up, you set a password you’ll remember for sure this time. Good luck!
