Consumer Reports’ Graduation Gifts Recommendations

Gift in hand

Consumer Reports joined Into Tomorrow this week with some gadget recommendations for grads:

Graduation season is here. Are you looking for a great gift for your favorite grad? Consumer Reports electronics spokesman James McQueen is here with some gadget recommendations.

With your scholar graduating, we have some great graduation gift ideas that are perfect for Tech-Savvy students. The 1 MORE E1001 Triple Driver (starting at $87) are a pair of small, sleek headphones delivering excellent sound, with an earplug-like design that limits extraneous noise.

You can make your grad the life of the party with the Edifier R2000DB (starting at $250) converting any late-night gathering into an unforgettable party. These elegantly- designed Bluetooth speakers deliver great quality sound, being a great choice for the more critical listener.

Cameras are also a great way to go. The Nikon Coolpix S9900 (starting at $270) definitely makes the honor roll for point-and-shoots and has a great image stabilizer. The Sony FDR-X1000V (starting at $398) is lightweight, easy to use and shoots 4K-resolution videos and is great for capturing adventures. Another Sony camera that will most likely succeed in almost any scenario is the Cyber-shot DSC-RX100 IV (starting at $948). Taking excellent quality photos, flash photos and videos; makes this camera the perfect travel companion whether you’re backing through Europe or shooting a landscape.
