The Predator 21 X is a 21″ IPS curved screen giant
Acer has the common sense of calling the Predator 21 X a “notebook” as opposed to a “laptop,” there is nothing lap-friendly about this gaming monster.
Besides the 21″ curved screen (which has a resolution of 2560 x 1080, by the way, no 4k gaming here), the computer features a 7th generation Intel Core processor, dual GeForce GTX 1080 GPUs, and 5 fans to keep all those electronics working comfortably.
Eye tracking technology
The Predator 21 X features eye tracking technology that they promise will be a more natural and intuitive way to control games. Realistically, this seems unlikely, game makers probably take care to make sure their games are easily controllable and design the interactions that lead to things happening within the game carefully.
Even if the eye tracking technology the notebook includes ended up being a gimmick or falling below expectations, gamers will be happy to know it does come with a very gamer-friendly standard feature: a backlit, full-sized, mechanical keyboard with features Cherry MX switches.
The keyboard includes a numeric keypad which can be flipped over to become a gaming touchpad.
Audio matters too
The 21 x will also be shipping with a SoundPound 4.2 audio system, featuring 4 speakers and 2 subwoofers.
