Then they joined up with T-Mobile and they wouldn’t do that type of phone anymore. They said I had to get touchscreen. I hate it. In fact when i get a new one, I’m gonna take this one and smash it just to show it what I think of it. I believe I can buy a Blackberry refurbished on Amazon. Would I then be able to take that somewhere to get it hooked up with service?”
Gloria, you don’t even have to get a refurbished Blackberry from Amazon, you can go on BestBuy.com and buy a brand new unlocked one that will work on T-Mobile for as little as $60. It’s not the most modern Blackberry phone, but our point is that you can still find them new if you try at retailers and on Blackberry.com.
Most, if not all, unlocked GSM Blackberry phones should work with your T-Mobile account. Just make sure you’re not looking at a CDMA phone. T-Mobile currently uses frequencies in the 2, 4, and 12 band numbers, which means 700Mhz, 1700Mhz, and 1900Mhz.

Keep in mind that Blackberry has said that it will stop designing its own devices, and the most talked about models they have put out in the last few years are the Priv and the DTEK60, both of them are Android phones.
What that means is that, long term, you probably won’t be able to hold on to your classic Blackberry phones and you will have to move on to touchscreen phones.
