Awareness the Tech Way …

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and there are some great online resources available with information, tips, places to make donations, blogs and other important facts about the terrible disease.

One of the most widely recognized organizations, Susan G. Komen, offers extensive information about breast cancer including survivor stories, events to raise awareness and funds, shopping to show your support, information about the journey, ways to donate and even helplines with free support.

Many cancer deaths can be prevented with the right health and lifestyle choices and The American Cancer Society features a very informative website to help you with those. They also offer lots of other great information including options for managing treatment and recovery.

Most of these organizations have links where you can donate for the cause but you might also want to check out Charity Navigator or Charity Watch  to see a listing of many foundations that will take your kind donation and they have ratings on different charities so you’re sure to give your money to the right cause.

If you’d like to go mobile, a lot of the sites have free Apps available and for a great friendly reminder for your self checks, download Your Man Reminder  which will send you good looking reminders and give instructions to do your own self exams.

Wishing you the best health and a cure … from your Friends “Into Tomorrow”
