Apple released a generic looking, not particularly powerful, not particularly cheap battery case for the iPhone 6 and 6s, and it seems everybody’s reporting on it
The case is lined with a type of felt like all Apple cases are, and it has a lightning connector for charging and interfacing with other devices.
It hosts a 1800 mAh battery, and it allows the phone to report on the battery life left on the case as well as the phone itself. Apple estimates you can expect an extra 25 hours worth of power.
What’s most interesting about this case, really, is that everyone seems to be talking about it. It’s a pretty generic product. It’s made by Apple, yes, but even they won’t say it’s “magical” it’s just… another battery case.
So, if you’re in the market for some extra power and you own an iPhone 6 or 6s, you can now consider a $99 Apple Smart Battery Case as well as the offerings from just about everyone else.
Do you find the Apple Smart Battery Case particularly interesting? Would you mind telling us why? It seems like just another battery case to us…
