Awareness The Tech Way …

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and there are some great online resources available with information, tips, places to make donations, blogs and more.

One of the most widely recognized organizations, Susan G. Komen,  offers extensive information about breast cancer including survivor stories, events to raise awareness and funds, shopping to show your support, information about the journey, ways to donate and so much more.

Other great sites to visit include, The American Cancer Society featuring a very informative website that includes information on research, treatments, programs and services and even a screening reminder.

Breast Cancer.org includes tips on treatments and side effects, day to day life as well as symptoms and diagnosis. WebMD assists with information on tests you may want to get, risk factors, different types of breast cancer and much more.

Most of these organizations have links where you can donate for the cause but you might also want to check out The Rose or Charity Navigator to see a listing and details of many foundations.

If you’d like to go mobile, a lot of the sites have free Apps you can download as well. And for a friendly reminder check out Your Man Reminder which will send you reminders and give instructions to do your own self exams.

Wishing you the best health and a cure … from your Friends  “Into Tomorrow”
