Let’s face it… we’ve all been there at one point or another. You get behind the wheel, turn your key and nothing happens. Another dead battery.

Luckily, there are many products out there to help. One that we’ve been playing with is the Powerit Portable Jumpstarter Kit from Impecca.

This handy little device is smaller than you’d expect it to be, given all that it does. I mean, the jumpstarters we’re used to are huge, heavy and clunky.

This one packs a fair amount of power into a small size. And in addition to jumpstarting your car, it’ll also charge your smartphone, tablet, laptop computer and more. It comes with an array of laptop adapters to fit most of the mainstream computers. It’s got a 12,000 mAh battery so it’ll hold a pretty good charge. Its 400 amp peak current gives it the power it needs to jumpstart most cars, pickup trucks and SUVs.

The device also has a built-in LED flashlight.

The PowerIt Jumpstarter comes in several different sizes and power capacities. This particular one, the 12,000 mAh, 400 amp unit sells for about a hundred dollars.

Next up, is a tech device for the car that just may save a life. The 6-in-1 Car Charger from Secur Products looks like a typical 12-volt car power adapter. But it’s got a built-in 2,000 mAh battery, so you take it with you when you need that extra boost later on. It’ll charge your phone in the car, while it’s charging itself. Or, you can plug it into any USB port to charge it up. It’s also got a built-in flashlight, with flashing red emergency mode.

Two of the potential life-saving features of this device are the seat belt cutter and window breaker. A big fear many people have is crashing their car and ending up in a lake, or canal. This device can help keep you from being trapped in your car.

The 6-in-1 Car Charger from Secur Products sells for about 40 bucks but the peace of mind a product like this one can bring you may be priceless.
