Summer Learning Loss

Kids have finally been able to take a break from the unprecedented end to their school year however “summer learning loss” is a great problem for many so they should still keep some kind of learning in their daily activities.

Kids love electronics (when they aren’t forced to do school on them lol) and by using their favorite device and heading online, they can keep up the skills learned during the school year.

Online you can find many great tips and instructions on things to do to prevent summer learning loss. These sites offer fun activities as well as summer workbooks, tutoring and programs available with many sites offering these resources for free.

Reading is an absolute must for success in learning and many libraries are offering drive up service where you can go online and request books and other materials available.

eReaders are a great tool that will allow you to check out books from your local library as well as rent or buy from many online retailers.

Video games that incorporate learning are helpful and most have free apps to download and learn on the go.

Many schools have updated their websites with resources and tips for things to do that are geared towards the grade level and skills the kids will be working on once school is back in session.
