On this edition of "This Week in Tech History", Chris takes us back in time to the release of the Windows 3.0 operating system as well as the wildly popular arcade game, Pac-Man.

Samuel_Morse_1840This week in 1844 – Samuel Morse tapped out the message, “What hath God wrought”, in the code that now bears his name. The message was sent from the Old Supreme Court Chamber in the United States Capitol to his assistant in Baltimore, Maryland. In 1927 this week – The last Ford Model T rolled off the assembly line after a production run of over 15 million vehicles.

In 1940 – Igor Sikorsky performed the first successful single-rotor helicopter flight.

1980 – Namco released the highly influential arcade game Pac-Man.
